Hello I found a lens at the Carboot today it's a centon (minolta fit) 28-70mm f3.5-4.5 compact zoom lens does anyone know if and where I can buy an adaptor so it will fit onto my Canon400d thank you x
 
Sorry to disappoint, but it won't. You may be able to find an adapter with a glass element in it, but the quality will be degraded. Best sell it on to a mirrorless user. For your Canon you can use (with a simple mechanical adapter) lenses from:

* Pentax (K)
* Praktica/Pentax (M42)
* Olympus (OM)
* Yashica / Contax (Y/C)
* Nikon (pre-ai, ai, ais)
* Leica (R)
* Tamron (Adaptall / Adaptall-2 / SP)
