Hi, In PS CS 6 there is a filter to straighten edges "Adaptive Wide Angle"
I have CS 5 and really don't want to upgrade just for this one filter so is there an alternative software out there?
I have looked at PTLens but it seems more work intensive than the Adaptive Wide Angle in PS CS 6.
Thanks
Russ

I'd start with a duplicate layer, then lens correction tool (under filters) and transform warp, maybe using a grid to see whats square. Thats all in Cs5 which you already have so no extra expense.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
Don't no if you have seen the new Adaptive Wide Angle filter in CS 6 but it does a more precise correction than the warp in CS 5.
Thanks again
Russ

It does do a fair job, and the beauty is you can ajust all the angles yourself if you need to "tweek" it. But for CS5 apart from pt lens I can't think of any other software that will work.
Looks like your going to be upgrading soon. ;)

I have DXO viewPoint and I think it's not worth the money: it's not an alternative to the CS6 Adaptive Wide Angle Filter.

Hi, Thank you all for replies. I bought DXO Viewpoint
