The TP52 - 2026 Adamski 52 for 2026 - WK 11 Colour Red

Week 7 and I thought I would try some candid street photography.....well....I was sat in the coffee shop by the window and saw this...

I have edited it in LR to try and make it look even more miserable than it is outside lol

Shot on my Iphone 16 Pro with the RAW enabled.

I will see what else I can find during the week.

LOL, miserable and street photography kind of go hand in hand... :D (or so is seems sometimes).

Good image, I like how you've captured two different people entering the scene and framing the black and white health centre front.

Went into Solihull as I am off work today to spend a day with the family.

We have a church in the town centre; St Alphege Church in Solihull that has been around since circa 1180 (now that is vintage).

The image below is taken from the stone wall around the old entrance. They are weapon marks made in the stone where the soldiers who were once stationed there sharpened their arrow heads and blades.

I then walked around (only had the 8 - 25 lens with me so not much room to zoom) and noticed this high up on the side of the wall of the church...I would say 1779 is vintage also..

Both taken with the OM5 mark 2 and 8-25 F4 Pro using the HHHR mode to produce a 50 MP raw file. I shot it that way to try and capture as much detail as I could.

I will keep thinking over the week. I have some vintage watches and such I could also get out and take pictures of.

So three images below - same camera, lens and HHHR mode.

Now, a little experiment. I have gone with the wifes chosen favourite, the colour one. I like a different version more. Which do you like more and why?

For those interested, we have a vintage mans Rotary watch that belonged to my grandad and a Parker Duofold check marine fountain pen.

1 Colour

2 - B&W

3 - Colour pop

Yeah colour for me too. Nice shot :)

The splash of gold really brings it to life!

That works well. The lighting is really nice, and the inclusion of the pen nib adds a lot to it.

Lesson learnt- always listen to your wife :) , colour for me as well. Good job on the lighting/reflections

Sorry, but I agree with your wife,
I like the way you've composed the two items and the slightly textured background. Good lighting too.

Nice watch, nice shot. The highlights suggest that maybe you need a softer light source? That is a watch that really would benefit from being photographed when the hands are in a better arrangement - perhaps not the typical ten to two.

But a good shot, fits the theme and the technique.

Hi @Boots

lol.

Image was taken on a pair of dark shorts on my bedroom floor with a crack in the door spilling the light onto the watch. I didn’t set anything up, I did however move the watch to where the light was weaker but if I had time or inclination to set it up yes you are correct.

As per the hand placement, that was the hand placement at the time. I didn’t stage it much just grabbed a shot. I put the watch back on after this 5 minute job so didn’t faff around with it.

I had an idea and just went with it to be honest. Didn’t spend a lot of time just took the watch off, on some shorts and grabbed the camera.

Thanks folks.

I may go back and set something up for a better image when I get the time. I have a number of watches so could be fun.

I don't know if others are like me, sometimes I plan photos to the Nth degree, other times, I can't really be that bothered and just chuck it and chance it lol

Well the weather has been horrible again and it is just that really fine rain and completely grey sky.

I am away with work over the next week and didn't want to fall behind so I give you - I'm a believer (Neil Diamond / The Monkees or as my kids would say - from Shrek).

I will add that I am not a religious person and mean no offence by posting this (just in case).

I really like how the shapes work in that. The mono conversion takes away any distraction from them.

Week 9

Time and tech (Low Key) - Images really suffer uploading on here. It is a lot sharper on my computer.

As others have said, nice shot and nice watch! Always wonder if there is a protocol for capturing clocks and watches ie should the hands be together or apart? is there a specific time which is best?

Update: Actually I ended up down a rabbit hole with my own question, apparently anywhere from 10:08-10:12 is acceptable to create a v shape, the second hand is often removed or aligned to avoid motion blur, Hands may be precisely adjusted (e.g., 10:09:36) so they look perfectly symmetric, Chronograph sub-dials are usually reset to zero. Now we know :)

Week 11 Colour Red

Taken today at the photography show - creator playground. I waited a long time to catch this empty without people getting in it for selfies and such.

Slight purple colour cast on the door is due to the purple lights off to the side of it.

Taken on my Iphone 16 Pro Max using the 48 MP RAW
