The TP52 - 2026 Adamski 52 for 2026 - WK 11 Colour Red

Good Macro shot

Very nice work:)

Nice rainy wotsit photo Adam :)

Cheers @Darkslinger

A little bit more of a rush job than I wanted but work has been busy, so these are just some quick fire ones that I have managed to get.

They are colour changing tea lights stuck to a transparent ruler.

It is a Lensball, sat on a mirror. Camera set up on tripod or pillow. Manual mode, ISO very low about 100 / 200, F8 and SS between 2-4 seconds.

Stick a two second timer on and then rotate the ruler around the rear of the lensball. You'll never get the light trails straight (I have spent many hours in the past) but it is a bit of fun on the theme - looking through the lensball or the mirror or both??

Then a little edit in LR and pop them over to Affinity and add the twirls using the distort filter :)

Great set ;)

very creative and superb colours Adam, must try that idea.

Thanks folks.

I have done better versions of these as you just need time to get the correct initial shot.

I try to just think outside the box and try different things. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Images may appeal to some and not others - that is the joy of it all :)

Now for week 7

They are easy enough to do, a little time consuming as a slight bump or wobble on the lights really shows. And given the room is dark, you can't really see what you're doing lol

You can then manipulate the colours in post, change temp, hue, vibrance, saturation and so on.

Once you've got one or two good ones you can make a whole series of them. You don't have to do two swirls or one swirl, I've got some nice ones that are without also.

It's just something different and passes the time

Well your either looking through a lensball (glass photography ball) or looking at it's reflection, through the mirror it's sat upon.

Choice is yours

I did specify this in earlier post.

Lensball is a clear glass ball that the lights pass through and where I've added the spirals.

Mirror it is sat on provides the secondary image of the ball and light trails also.

Hopefully this clears it up.
