weekly Adamski 52 for 2023 Wk 37 Hollow

Okay, so although not edited (sorry haven't had the time with helping dad with mom) I am now back on track I believe.

Spring - taken at Baddesley Clinton and was chosen from a selection I had of the usual flowers, spring flowers sale sign and such. Found this large spring on a lock on gate, so thought why not.

Smooth - just an idea I had whilst walking around ASDA with the wife doing the food shopping. She was wondering what I was doing as we do not purchase these items, but I kept my eye open for Smooth wording on wrappers and packaging. Felt a bit of a wally standing there taking photos with my phone but hey, it has helped get me back on track.

Hopefully, they will be reviewing my moms care and possibly releasing her over the next week, so things may calm down again and I will be more visible and catch up on comments on others posts.

Sorry again for being awol.
Adam

Hi Adam

I love your image for transparent it really catches your attention.

Spring - ticks the theme box nicely
Smooth - lovely collage. Who knew there was so much smoothness!

Really like the spring shot, that lock should outlast the gate.

tunnel shot - the weather looks better the other side and I just know the cyclists will hate that post in the middle

Hey Adam. Nice work in Asda. Perfect for the theme. The repetition of the Galaxy is the only thing that jumps out for me.

There have been some weeks where the challenge of taking the photo in public has been the difficulty (for me anyway). Well done for overcoming this here.

A great collection for smooth. I try not to take notice of anyone looking at me oddly... and the number of times I've been asked "what are you taking a photo of??"

Nice spring shot Adam, and a whole collection of smooth things as well.

Pete

Ah man, I have had the worst time for, well a fair while.

I shall save you all the details but let's just say it got monumentally worse.

So, snapper choice was a phone shot of some Ant Larvae I stumbled across in the back garden with my son, and connected is me doing my bit for the human race.

Week 15 - Snappers choice

Week 16 - Connected

So, I need to try and get my life and photography back on track. I have missed some of my photography club meetings also because of all the stuff that was / is going on. Not sure I will even make this Friday's meeting.

I will catch up and I am sure life will turn a corner at some point. I will make a massive effort to get my camera out and get something for week 17 Liquid prior to Thursday. I will also try and get some comments going on other people's threads.

Stick with it Adam, last year was the worst year of my life. Hope you sort things out.

Snappers choice is a really interesting shot never seen ant larvae before.
Connected works well with a good composition.

Hi Adam, good to see you still found time to donate in week 16. (I've just done my 69th).

Also, still time to post a few phone shots for missing weeks, or just jump back in at the current week when you can.

Okay, I will be back on it this weekend. Getting the camera out and I'm heading out. I assume I can just post images that match the weekly themes I've missed and that will be okay to catch up, they won't have been taken in the correct week though.

Not sure what a composite is, or how it's done so will have to look into it.

Ok so composite includes Photoshop work but also double exposure and focus stacking according to my Google search, so that will help.

Right, finally got out with the camera and have (if it is allowed) caught up on the themes missed.

I was going to do some focus stacking but truth be told, I have forgotten how to do it on LR/PS and I can use Affinity, but I am trying to learn the other two.

So, I also need to look more into the TECH side of things with composite. I have read online that this can be anything from focus merging, stacking, blending two images together, multiple exposure, etc. So I will have a think over the next few weeks of how I could try and incorporate this into a weekly theme.

I will also ensure I catch up with some comments on other threads over the next week as (fingers crossed and I will probably jinx it now) my week looks a little lighter this week.

Good catch up, like the distant and robust. I’m like you need to look into doing a composite YouTube probably best bet, think it’s pretty easy in photoshop but getting it to look natural/ not a composite pic is another matter

Great set of images to catch up Adam. I think that I like the Fragile shot the best.

Great catch up Adam, Liquid and robust are my favourites.

Nice catch up. I particularly like the fragile shot.

Week 21 Near by and tech

Macro stack, using the S5, Loawa 100mm F2.8, 5 bracket exposure and stacked (composite) in Affinity as I have found it so much easier than trying to do this in lightroom and photoshop. Meets the near by as it was taken in my back garden as I have managed to break my right foot and little toe....caught it off the door frame lol. It never rains hey......

That's a good one Adam. Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you're better soon.

Ah it's always the way @Darkslinger.

Just as life gets a little better I go and do something daft.

I was just carrying stuff upstairs and didn't pay attention and boom caught my right foot and little toe off the corner of the door frame. I knew it was going to be a messy one when I looked down and my foot was facing the right and my little toe was facing left. It was a massive crunch and looked like someone had snapped the wish bone on a chicken lol.

Currently sat here with an ice pack on it.

Beautiful stack, super sharp detail and beautiful soft BG. Lovely colours of the purple against the green.
Sorry to hear of your toe mishap. Hope it feels better soon.

Lovely detailed macro. Sorry to hear about the foot! So easily done.

Sounds painful and restrictive.
Well done for completing the challenge and yes well composed and stacked.

Great flower shot. lovely detail and colour. Sorry to hear about the foot sounds bloody painful.

Yep - nice one :)

Nice irregular shot, it's a good subject for the fisheye lens.
