weekly Adamcski 52 for 2025

Works well in black and white and I really like the textures that come through. Well done getting it photographed before the browning set in (or was she lemon juice judiciously applied..?!)

Thanks @Shugpug. Capturing or at least trying to capture the textures was the reason I went with the stack.

No lemon juice applied - I ate it afterwards so no waste either.

Impressive to start Week 1 with a stack. Far too much effort just after Christmas ;)
Works well and a nicely sharp stack.
I'm a macro guy (probably see a lot of close up and macro type shots as we progress). The OM cameras have the focus stacking in camera, although limited to 15 images and output is jpeg only, so I cheated and didn't pull the RAWS and stack in affinity.

Nice sharp image, why did you feel B&W was the better choice?
I just thought it looked better than the colour image and had more contrast in it. Plus, I'm a bit of a fan of B&W images.

Nice shot. Pretty sure I could get that with a single shot though.

Good use of the camera's capabilities, and a nice creative take on the subject.

Working on some images

These are single images taken on the OM1 with 90mm Macro and 2 x TC - so 4 x magnification (which would be 8 x FF magnification so I am told). Handheld and manual focus (I am not getting all the kit out in the cold although its not the kit that will freeze..it's me lol).

I recently purchased an iPhone 16 Pro Max so I have been messing around with the camera on there also.

I went with the second image (which is displayed first) as I thought it was more interesting to see how the ice had formed there.

Lovely stuff Adam!

Two beauties. I will go for the second, though.
Yes, I was happy with both to be fair.

Standing outside this morning doing these was tricky as it's been so cold. I just asked my daughter which she liked the most and went with that one. I personally thought it was interesting that it had formed that way all on its own.

It's like the trail of the runaway ice crystals has a backstory....

Stunning ice images. Great work, especially handheld and manual focus!

Twisted ankle has held me back a little this week.

Hopped over to the local park and grabbed this for the weeks theme (graffiti) and this is also the tech element as I used the wide angle option on the iPhone 16 Pro Max which was shot in RAW.

Nice capture. Skate parks are clearly the place for graffiti!
I wish I had better options for the challenge as some of the images this week have been fantastic, full of colour and great art. Mine is just some tags at a skate park taken on a phone lol

Doesn't matter how or where, or what with. You've hit the brief. And sometimes other stuff and time gets in the way.

I felt I was shoehorning in my probably certainly not graffiti but definitely legitimate authorised art. This is more on theme and a nice shot. Skate parks are a good source for this, you did well to manage to make it to one.
