Actions Problem in PS5 (Please help)

I am currently trying to process a 500 shot timelapse and am wanting to add a Tilt Shift effect to them all. Now i have managed to do my first shot using this tutorial....

and have made the action and know how to batch process the action using this tutoria...l

but i have a problem.
When i start the batch process for some reason the full shots going to my folder are being effected by the lens blur instead of just the outer area on my image. My original shot saves fine with the correct tilt shift effect so its something to do with the Action....
This has had my life for 2 days so i would appreciate some guidance as i feel its something simple! Im a beginner on PS so go easy :)

I have found a way of getting round it sort of by using the gradient tool but i would still like to know what was going wrong before..... Im using this tutorial which is pretty much what ive been doing anyway but using the brush tool as in the first tutorial.

When I get time I'll try watching the tut and having a go Phil, but it's not going to be for a few days I'm afraid, I have a lot on for the next few days.

The reason your action isn't working is because actions cannot record brush strokes; as such, any masks you created for the effect in your first image will not be applied in any action that you create from it.
 
Leigh is correct Philip, you cant record brush strokes, but you can record the gradient tool, theres several options for different gradients try that instead on the layer mask.
