I hope that someone can offer some help. I have cs3 and have some downloaded actions. They are in the right folder as .atn files. But, they will not load up in the actions window. I know they are in the right place as the default actions (command, frame etc) show up, but the downloaded ones just will not show to load.

Is there something I am missing?

You have to load then, on the actions palette theres a fly out window (little tiny arrow top right) on there is a load actions option, just putting them in the actions folder wont work on it's own.

I am loading them as per your reply Wayne, but the downloaded actions are not showing in the 'load actions' window - So I have no access to them. When I look in the folder itself, the actions are there, they just don't show when I try to load them.

Are they .ATN files? they are not still in a zip file or something are they?

You might need to remove them from the folder and start again

You could try double clicking on the .ATN file itself when PS is open, see if that does anything.

Yep, definately .atn files, showing as .atn when I look in the actions folder, same as all the others.

Can you give a link to where you donwloaded them from.

Downloaded over time, just trying to get them going now as there's some I want to purchase, and I'll be cheesed off if they won't work.

Will give that a go.

Do you mean open PS and also the actions folder in windows explorer?

Just done it, so incase anyone ever has this problem here goes.

Open up PS and the actions window. Open up the actions folder in windows explorer. Have the 2 windows open side by side and drop and drag the actions from the folder into the actions screen in PS.

Don't know why it would only work that way. But at least it's all going now. Thanks for the help and suggestions folks.
