It's quite a way off but will be doing some snorkeling / diving ( not deep Sea) in Mexico so want a small underwater kit, don't want to spend a fortune but don't want to go cheap and nasty either so wondering if there's anything other than go pro that has good IQ, I may go Nikon keymission if the reviews prove positive, thanks

Tbh I bought a victsing action cam off of amazon u.k,next day delivery and used it both above and under water in Greece a fortnight ago ,compared with footage from my sons go-pro there is no comparable difference .i got the wi.fi model and it came in at sub £50 with a ton of accessories

On the other hand I bought one for £33 off eBay. The iq was surprisingly good for the two minutes the battery lasted!

Never bought one before so.a complete novice with these cameras [emoji16]

Rest assured the one I have mentioned comes with two batteries ,I used the same one every day on holiday and it was still virtually fully charged at the end of the week ,and as stated the video and even the audio quality was superb despite being in its waterproof case ,the only extras I had to get were a selfie stick and a flotation grip

I think i may invest in one thanks

I bought one from ebay and it was a pile of poop, and was soon returned. It was only £23 though.

If your working on a budget grab a SJCAM SJ4000 from Amazon, about £60 but from what I've read it's a good little camera. Just make sure it's a branded SJCAM as there are so many copies (which I fell for..)

From what I've read the yi is the next best after the gopro.

I bought the one black fox said but the shutter button was temperamental so returned, ended up with the gopro 5 , different quality altogether, you get what you pay for I suppose

Have to agree GoPro are still about the best whether we like (the price) or not.

I bought an SJ4000 WiFi through eBay and the s/n check says it's genuine. I mounted it on a Lego train and had it streaming to a laptop screen at the Swindon steam museum over the weekend. Only problem was the 45 minute battery life....
