Acrylic Sheet

Hi who on here uses acrylic sheet or similar sheets, are there worth the investment and how long do there last and are there easily cracked ? I am going to order some seamless paper and thought it would protect the paper and get more use out of it.

I have used some acrylic for still life stuff and its great, only thing i found is it can scratch very easily

I am not sure if they are meant for protection of paper - they kind of have use on their own for product shoots. As Chris mentioned plexiglass will scratch but would be unlikely to break like ordinary glass. Perhaps you could laminate your paper?

Have you thought about vinyl backdrops insted of paper, vinyl wipes down and is more durable

I use Perspex brand of Acrylic for small stuff like shoot my lizards/snakes etc.

It can scratch, but I tend to polish it out
