I used to take piano lessons when I was about 12/13 years old and had to learn to read music. Both the treble clef and base clef consists of 5 lines and my teacher taught me a way to remember what letter (note) each line represented:

Treble clef - E, G, B, D, F (Every Good Boy Deserves Fun)

Base clef - G, B, D, F, A (Good Boys Deserve Fun Always)
