Hi
Not sure how the best way is to word the title! I have been using CS5 for quite some time and never noticed such a huge difference from viewing a file as a JPEG to opening the RAW in ACR. But I have taken some portrait shots of my kids this weekend and when I open the RAW file the lovely warm tones and rosy cheeks vanish! I cannot seem to duplicate it and when I try the photos all look washed out and rubbish!
Some of my shots I just used the original JPEG (I shoot both JPEG and RAW) to do some basic PP tweaks on.
Any tips greatly appreciated.
Here is an example.
