Absolutely gutted........

Wow, looks amazing! Sorry you missed it, I would also be gutted :-(

very nice, I need to see this before I'm pushing up the daisies!

Judging by your location, you stand a far better chance than I
I'm off to have a little "self pity weep".

latitude wise, yes, but considering a big bank of cloud hangs over this area 364 days a year (or so it feels like!) I have missed all sorts over the years, including eclipses, aurorae and even a planetary transit of the sun! :bang:

Sorry I can't make clever links like other folk.

I'm gutted that this was SO close to me in the grand scheme of things and yet I had no idea.

I bet I never get to see this. :( :(

Awww that's a real shame.

Last year a stage of the Vuelta a España passed literally past my house but I had chosen to go and photograph La Sagrada Familia instead. I still regret missing the colour, noise and spectacle of the race.

Think positive, if it's happened once , it can happen again :)

Gutted I didn't know about this!!! Only about 45 mins from where I live.

 are you sh**ting me? Why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour some lemon juice on it for good measure ;)

That's about 30 minutes from where I sit right now. b****r.

I live in the North and I've waited my whole life in vain to see the Northern Lights. I signed up to AuroraWatch to get email warnings of possible events but they always seem to arrive a day late :(

:D I have been on Aurora watch myself on that night, skies were perfectly clear but the silly urban haze type artificial lighting meant I couldn't even see the stars (except for perhaps the brightest ones), never mind an aurora such as this one!

Ian......In ya come...........

It's getting crowded in here...

I will bring toast :D

I took this from my front garden in March this year :p

Grrrrr.....Showoff!

You're not allowed in our corner. :nono:

(great image though)

I missed it too. Must have been over stoke but northern view obscured by housing so little chance for a clear view. Saw the aurora watch thing and got really excited but couldn't see a thing. Peaked about 2am apparently. Still kicking myself for not staying up!
