Hi, Ive been getting into photography over the last couple of years, it started as just a way to capture places I visit. By the end of last year I found myself wanting more than my TZ3 compact could offer, I wasn’t in a position to justify buying a DSLR so I parted with £5+p&p and got a zenit 12xp film SLR as i) I like old things ii) I didnt have the ££ available for a DSLR iii)I figured I would learn a lot about photography from using it and iv)its fun. It has been great I still use the TZ3 more (probably done about 5 films on the zenit this year)
Now I’m looking at getting a DSLR, everything points to the Nikon D90, but its too much ££ for now so I’m planning to get a second hand D80 then I can get a few lenses and hopefully upgrade to a D90 or whatever is around then at a later date. One of my best friends has a sony A300 so Ive had some DSLR experience on that, and it seems feature packed for the money but the Nikon seems to be the way to go for future and I prefer the controls on the Nikon (DOF preview, focus lock, ISO display in viewfinder etc).
Heres a few of the favourite pics I have taken:
Humber Bridge (film)
Railway Tunnel (TZ3)
Warehouse Apartments (Film)
Urban Caving (Film)
