Aaron Ramsey leg break (photo)....*Warning : Not for the squeamish*

:gag:

Poor lad. Looked like he had a really good future ahead of him as well. Hope he gets well soon.

It looked like a 50/50 in real time but you could see straight away the leg was broken :shake:. It looked leg to leg not foot to leg  as most are. Wishing hm a speedy recovery poor lad.

Nearly as shocking as the shot that hit the togs camera behind the goal. Light hearted but not poor taste honest. ;)

Hi,

I am a staunch Arsenal fan and i am so sorry that Aaron has suffered this injury. It is always awful when an injury like this happens but i think it was a 50-50 ball and the Stoke lad didn't tackle with any maliscious intent.

I wish Aaron a speedy recovery and hope that Ryan Shawcross isn't vilified.

Best wishes,

Tracey

Looks a sore one.

Fingers crossed he makes a full recovery & gets back playing.

I'll never forget David Busst breaking his leg playing for Coventry against Man Utd. He required 26 operations and at one point faced amputation.

i hate photos like these, the Busst photos where real shockers, and as for Graham Lasauxs ancle break...ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

 :puke:

I feel sick :(

Poor lad, hope he recovers like Eduardo did..

Great result rather overshadowed by this injury..just 3 points behind Chelsea :woot:

I echo your sentiments about his recovery Mark, and ordinarily i would be dancing on the ceiling with the result and where we are in the league, especially as many wrote off our chances after the loss to Chelsea, but the injury has really overshadowed the result for me as well.

Remember, after the Birmingham game where Eduardo was injured? We never seemed right after that and didn't win the league from a position of strength...

Cheers,

Tracey

ooft, that looks nasty.
I don't remember who the player or the team was, but I remember looking on the Sun site a while ago and you could see from side on the actual break in this poor bloke's leg.

As a Man U fan there was a moment of celebration when i saw the Chelsea result.

As a football fan in general i really feel for the lad. Medical science has come on a long way, as proved by the Edwardo recovery. I wish Ramsey well in his recovery and i think that there is no better club for him to be at in this time of need. Arsenal have a proven record in sticking by players in a time like this.

I also play football on a sunday and thank my lucky stars that nothing like this has ever happened to me. I have been in games where injuries like this occur, and it is very difficult to 'sort out your head; and continue playing. Respect to the players for finishing the game.

Just after the actual challenge :gag::puke:

Looking at that photo Shawcross didn't inflict the injury, he's not made contact yet. If anything the contact about to happen probably helped as Ramsey would have gone over on his own foot.

I wish Ramsey a speedy recovery and hope it's not another David Buust type break.

P.S I don't support either team.

Looked a 50-50 after seeing it but without seeing it from various angles I wouldn't like to say for certain but judging by the photos I can see why Sky didn't show the replay

Hope he makes a speedy recovery also as he is talented

Its not nice when things like this happen but its part and parcel of th egame, get well soon Aaron

Edit- the one thing I dont understand is players with tape on there ankles, yeah it may add some strength but surely its not helping him in that situation

Its one thats very unfortunate aswell, as a split second later and his ankle wouldn't have been planted and he would have went over the top of Shawcross

Very strange match :(

The result didn't really matter are the incident.

Hope Rasmey a fast recovery and also that Shawcross isn't vilified as it wasn't a malicious challenge.

I'm a Spurs fan, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, even a Gooner. Hope he gets fit as fast as Eduardo.

I`m sure he`ll cope on £50,000 plus a week,or whatever.

Bones mend, and medical procedures are better now, he`ll be ok.

Could be worse, he could be getting medivacced out of Afghan with no legs.

I feel sorry for the lad but Fracster has got it spot on

Got to agree with Ade here, still wish him a speedy recovery

I am a gooner but disagree with Wenger, although its based on a web clip of the challenge. To me it looked a 50/50 ish challenge, maybe Shawcross did dive in but I see at least one challenge a week worse or potentially worse than that.

I too hope Shawcross is ok - shame for Ramsey, without that injury he would have been a world class player in a year / 18 months!

Agree with you there. The leg has already gone before Shawcross has made contact. Hopefully the FA will rescind the red card as at most, it's a yellow.

Tape on the ankles is usually used to help hold the shin-pads in place more effectively than the strap they come with. If they require additional strength then more a substantial support would be used.

As a Gooner I can't give Ramsey enough support. I've seen the tackle on youtube and genuinely feel for Shawcross also. The tackle was undoubtedly a hard one but I can't see much malice in it.

Here's wishing a fully and speedy recovery for Ramsey and a good career for Shawcross too!

Ouch!!!!

These photos made me wince a bit despite there being a sock in the way of the visual aspect of the injury. Hope he recovers well, albeit he'll not be losing out on salary etc. Just think what mental & physical anguish folks go through who get badly injured outside these 'sporting injuries', notwithstanding loss of earnings (no where near to what he's on) and the support network they have to often sort out for themselves as without doubt the player's recovery plan will be there on a platter for him without him having to lift a finger to deal with it...

I echo Ade`s comment  But I just wonder sometimes how sincere get well comments like these really are  I for one dont really give a toss.

People need to put things into perspective a bit more imo
