I'm trying to remember the name of something but my mind is frozen...

I'm trying to explain the pictures you get that are made up of lots of other pictures, usually in a mosaic type effect. Quite often it will be a portrait of someone made up of 100s of smaller different pictures of them. I am sure it has a proper name but I can't find an example of one without knowing what is called...!!

I hope that explains what I mean, 10 geek points to the first person to understand just what I'm waffling on about!

See I've already used montage and collage but thats just a generic term that does apply to the effect. Although it has a proper name I am sure, its at the back of my mind but wont come out and its winding me right up!
 
A montage is lots of different pictures on the one page and mosaics is one picture in bits.....

do I qualify for a geek?
