A words of praise for jacobs

Hi

I just wanted to give some praise were it's due. I've been shopping at my local Jacobs Store (Liverpool) quite a bit lately and I must say it's been very pleasant. OK so the staff aren't too well trained by the looks of it but hey, if I ask for something and they haven't got it in stock it's ordered for me.

I've recently got my Interfit barn doors, the snoot and reflector bracket were not in stock but are now ordered. Today my wife has been in for a light stand and a hotshoe to lightstand adapter, yet again, not in stock but have been ordered.

Turnaround time has normally been quite good (except for the bracket as that's been nearly 4 weeks). At least if anything has got to go back it's only a quick trip to the shop.

So, once again, thank you Jacobs.

I've got to admit the term "damned by faint praise" comes to mind Gary.
The staff aren't too well trained, it seems they never have anything you want in stock, and you've been waiting nearly 4 weeks for a bracket...

mmm... I think I've seen better. I'm all for supporting local shops but they have to stack up to the competition, even if that's online nowadays.

More praise from me, yesterday i bought a Tamron 70-300 from Manchester i went to the shop 62mm filter was £26-99 they are £21 at Wilkinsons, i asked the guy if he would match it, he looked on the web and said no probs £21 up for Jacobs
