Yes
The wife is suspicious of all the couriers delivering stuff to my house.

Today I travel over 100 miles to pick up a new image stabilising lens instead of going to the gym (didn't tell her).

I attempt to offer an opinion to a question in this forum as to which camera is better the 20d or 400 and then refrain cos I've only had mine a week.

I clean up all of my fishing tackle ready for E-bay (worth 2 grand) as I have to absolutely get an "L".

And you know what? I havent even taken a picture outside of my front room - yet. Oh well, Slimbridge tomorrow. :)

Are you planning on splitting up before Xmas? Or after, Vera?

With what she has spent in "Next" over the last few years I could have a selection of L's.

Do what I did :) add up all the make up the hair colourings (which I apply... free of charge) all the quick jaunts to Spain she takes, all the shoes and boots ( I have one pair of shoes) and she soon saw reason :)

You're probably right. Leggings, lipsticks, lingerie....ooh sorry, that's what she'll have bought ;)

This hobby is a bit like that. You find yourself browsing the classifieds all over the place, especially at night. I keep reining myself back in....try telling yourself "The camera takes the shot, the photographer makes the shot". You don't need an L for that....*

* but it'll make you feel like the real deal

Depends if you can "afford" the expense as a family methinks?
If you can, then work it out (or shout a lot at each other then agree to disagree).
If you cant then pay the bills and save. Debt never sounds a good idea to me.

As to your non-comment. Opinions are always welcomed here, as long as they are well meant and have some grounding.

It's not the expense that she moans at, it's the "how much for that glass tube thingy" and how much time I have been spending here that irritates.. I have a fad metality and usually sell stuff from one interest to fund another so never really go into debt. Let's hope this fad sticks. She's happy that now I choose to shoot pictures of wildlife rather than shoot the wildlife itself. Some time ago I understood that the animals I once slaughtered looked better alive than dead.

haha, don't we just love our phases. You need to get out and shoot some stuff!

If she's fed up with the time you spend here after only one week, you're in for some serious moaning in a few months :)
