A tripod question

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything specific with the terms I was using for the search.

I am after a tripod and head combo, and would like some recommendations.

To give you some info, I use a gripped 40D with a 100-400mm lens, the use would be for static aircraft nightshoots (with a very slowly increasing thought towards landscape) and my budget is approx £150 (not a rigid budget)

Due to occasional trips to Europe, the ability to be packed into a suitcase and therefore close to a short length is a consideration.

Any help welcome.
 
Hard at that price... Benro Travel Angels are suitcase packable but no idea what pricing for UK would be. The trab269 aluminum goes for $250 US (holds I think around 7kg), carbon fibre a way lot more expensive. However, the ballheads on them may or may not be suspect. All I can think of for that low price since Gitzo's are out of the reach of everyday folk. <G>

An update.

Thanks to some sterling efforts from Joe at Redsnapper, I now have a RS-283 & RSH-528 Head, and both are excellent pieces of kit.

The only gutting thing is that since placing the order and receiving the tripod, the price dropped by £30 :(
