Yes
I need to know how many of you are completely wrong in the head :D

Love em too!:D ( hated as a child but always forced to eat one)

Not liking them is just wrong. The end!!!!

The trouser trumpets are in the lead!

They're the Devils B0ll0cks stored in his sweaty socks for a thousand years and then passed through the puss filled intestines of a diseased goat before being boiled to death and served to you.

I've always liked them. Even though as a child, eating your greens was more accurately eating your greys! Mother cooked 50's style until the late 70's :D
Now, I let them have a quick look at the steamer before rolling them around in hot bacon fat for a few minutes. Mmmm.

:mooning:Love 'em! Thinly sliced with onion, carrot etc. for coleslaw, gently steamed or boiled, sautéed in butter... Bring 'em on by the bucketload. The fact that they may induce trouser trumpeting is merely a sideshow to the yummy scrumptiousness that is the Brussels sprout!

Love them

This is going as expected.
Most people like fartleberries :)

yep, thats pretty much my feeling too!! Vile, revolting things.

Another one for the trouser trumpets.

:agree: They should be banned, the smell is bad enough when they are being cooked, let alone the after effect :arghh:

The sprout haters will be super tasters. Bitter tastes are much more horrid to us.

Bloody love them. One of the great veg. Had loads today with crispy bacon. Tomorrow they will be going in the bubble and squeak.

Most of the nays are still in the bathroom :p

Lovely Sprouts, cook them gentle, drain the pot add a bit of butter then freshly ground black pepper sprinkled on top :)

and any left overs...

get some party poppers
carefully remove cardboard disk & streamers
insert sprout
take aim

kerblammmmmooooo

*warning, they do fire at high speed, DO NOT point at people or things you don't want damaged

** feel free to aim them at cats

*** neighbour has new cat & it's ****** in the middle of our tarmac drive

Love em, putting next years onto the boil tomorrow ;)

Steve

took me a few seconds to realise what you're on about
as a kid, loathed any vegetable

it wasn't until I spent a week in hospital as a 19 year old that I realised i'd been missing out ... i knew my mum was s*** in the kitchen, but worse than hospital cooking?!?!?!

sprouts are ace ( well, they're nice, but nothing to get excited about)

They're lush and had about 20 on my plate earlier.

Some vile trouser trumpeting going on all evening though. They've taken longer than usual to start working though lol

Just had them steamed in a steaming basket

At a guess, the haters have never had them cooked properly, only massively overcooked, soggy and bitter. JUST tender steamed or boiled then a quick toss in butter (no sniggering at the back...) maybe with a little bacon and some cooked chestnuts if wanted. NOT put on to boil at the same time as the turkey! :mooning:

So you don't recommend me starting next years today then ;)

You mean cooked with something else to disguise the awful taste.

I never liked sprouts as a kid but tbh that extended to most veg. When cooked properly, they're lovely. Not had a bitter one yet.
