A really great website for looking at old images some from the 'Old Masters'

I was directed on another photography forum to a really great website with some stunning images (and some mundane ones) from the late 1800s through to the 1960s. The really great thing is that any of the images can be seen 'full size' which whilst showing all the blemishes also shows the quality that has been gleaned from the photographic equipment of the time.

Some of the images are from the recognised 'Old Masters' such as Ansel Adams, Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange to name a few.

I've been looking at this site for a good while now Ed and it is amazing. some of the images are truly works of art (some are pretty cack though) but its a real glimpse into the past.

What did surprise me is how many had a fairly modern contemporary feel to them despite being 70 or 80 years old.
