A Quidco pointer for the forum

Hi all.

A quick search throws up a few threads mentioning the Quidco cashback site, but I didn't think it would do any harm to give them a mention, especially with regard to Jessops.

For those of you who've never used Quidco, it's a well regarded cashback site that pays a proportion of your purchase back to you.

In some cases, it's a few pence, sometimes it's a flat amount, sometimes it's a percentage. Why I'm posting though is because at present, Jessops are paying 8% cashback for people who buy anything, having clicked through the Quidco link to their site.

You need to be a Quidco member. That costs £5/year, but only from your earned commission. If you don't earn £5, it costs you nothing.

The 8% is pre-VAT in the case of Jessops, which brings my D700 down to £1674 from £1799.

This discount applies to anything from Jessops, and whilst I know lots of you have 'issues' with them, I think it's a valid pointer for everyone on the forum.

Here's the link to Jessops at Quidco:

Hope this is of some use to a few of you.

Have bought a few high value items through quidco and not been paid.

This was a couple of years ago and they may have improved things since.

I have always found Quidco fairly quick at paying out. Last year I bought my 17-55 efs from Jacobs using the Quidco discount - Got a further £21 off the price - Every little helps!

You need to check the merchant stats on Quidco, as some are not too reliable.

Don't forget that it's the merchant who pays Quidco, and then they pay you. So if you don't get paid, and I accept that sometimes this happens, it's not really down to Quidco.

Jessops have very good rating though, and I have no doubts that they'll payout without a problem.

D700 next week I think :-)

:agree: have bought lots from jessops and always been paid (got paid twice for one order )

Always use it for our insurance stuff as well, which has just got us £135 back.

Used it to buy my 40d from Jessops some time back.. Got cashback fine no problems.

i bought something in the 8% thing but it only came up as 4% cashback wise.

I'm a big Quidco fan and have yet to have a problem getting my money in around four years as a member. To date I'm almost £800 to the good.

Recently I discovered Topcashback, which has no annual fee and might even pay a little more. Of particular interest - they have cash back from Warehouse Express, which Quidco doesn't.

I went through a phase of doing matched betting (google it :D) and made loads of money through Quidco. :)
