I think it is somewhat unfair to start a thread with the title "A quick moan about Loxley" when your problem is that you don't like their prices!!!

I've got a big 14" square print up on my wall that uses Loxley's metallic paper and it looks superb. :)

I wonder if someone from loxleys will come on to explain - it would be good customer service.

Now now Mark, you are a pro, not a very pro response. (Not trolling I wa s going to agree with the quote about it is a problem with the price structure rather than of Loxley's themselves)

Tom, Pro or not , I was making a point. I am sorry if you weren't happy with it. You are aware of the thread next door so to speak.

I am sure Loxleys do a great job, as do all the pro labs.

Am I missing something or are you moaning about 68p + vat?

I suppose it all depends on your definition of "small"

Fortunately not something I have to be concerned about;)

Well 68p doesn't bother me.

Loxley's metallic prints look fantastic, we always use some of them for the wedding shows because they stand out really well.

I think creating a thread moaning about their metallic pricing is a bit unfair, its not really a genuine problem, besides which most of the other suppliers I have seen have similar rates for metallic prints.

you must be missing something as i dont get 68p

i think you will find i was moaning about the "small" being 50%

I think Dave has a fair point. If its not show how much is small then its anyones guess, i guess..

Dave i have used the Pearl from DSCL, but cannot compare, But i did find the pearl to be good behind glass...I have for some time wanted to try Metallic, but maybe this could be the push....

The price list quotes a 8x10 print @ £1.37p with metallic an extra 68p.

I realise it's 50% but it's a whole different product.

I understand its a whole different product but i just dont know how 50% = small

Ok 50% of small is quite small ;) I get your point, but don't think it warrants the thread

I've yet to try metalic... one day. As for Loxley's quality of standard paper prints, I can't fault them however.
