A quick and easy question for 40D owners

Please can someone measure the distance from the middle of the screw hole in the bottom of the 40D to the lefthand side of the body (lefthand side as viewed from the back).

I make it 52mm to the edge of the body, but 54mm to the edge of the strap lug.
