A question for the female members here ....

My wife has just read some of this thread over my shoulder and informed me "I choose my clothing firstly to appear attractive and feminine. Everything's secondary to that."

So there you have it; the confidence/arrogance/stupidity that comes as a result of being a frozen lunatic.

haha

i would say it is definitely what we call the 'alcohol blanket' that keeps you warm. just have a few before going out and you dont notice the cold so much!!

That sounds 100% like the logic I've seen from all the girls / women I've ever dated :p

I think I've a photo somewhere of her running for the bus to go to work, wearing a miniskirt (albeit with tights) in a temperature of about -10 degrees. No alcohol was involved, although by the time I got back to the house I was ready for a drink to heat me up!

Lol obviously I dont drink alcohol before I go to work in a skirt (although maybe thats not a bad idea...?! :P )
Cold weather sucks for going out dressing though...brrrr!

It's things like this that make me thank the All Mighty for creating me a man, not that I have anything against women .. but I just don't get the logic of the hours for vanity, make-up and the huge fashion wardrobes women maintain :cuckoo: .. mind you, I love watching the end-result :p

like mr jack nicolson says in his film as good as it gets, when you think of a woman: "think of a man; Then I take away reason and accountability"

You should see the sights around Morden tube station on a Friday/Saturday night as the girls go off to town on the tube!

Reminds me of a story. I was driving a bus in Croydon. Saw this girl wearing a very short skirt. As she ran for my bus there was a sudden gust of wind and a skirt blew up to reveal a thong and two cheeks!!!!!

Ashers, shouldn't you go out dressed like that after dark?

lol nope i thought you was the forums cross dresser, or so that other guy told me ;)

When I used to do it, it was because of a mixture of things ... Fashion, drink, sex appeal and because I was young and foolish  I was just telling the hubby yesterday about the time almost 13 years ago when I went out for NYE. I went in a very short skirt and a basque, and really high toe-less strappy sandals. The night was great, and the walk home was refreshing ... in the snow  I remember starting to sober up around the time my toes started to defrost. It was pure agony! I still did it again and again though

Ahhh, to be young again *sigh*.

It is amazing what the body can sustain, when at a younger age. Not that I am suggesting you're old, Jo! Not at all. It's just something I am always reminded of with my health / age.

And yes, all the girls I see are in super high heels, which adds to the quandary, and which begs the next question ....

How do you balance yourself  ... high heels, ultra short skirt, with a couple of warm fuzzy drinks and freezing temperatures

i tried once to wear girls heels ONLY ONCE EVER! before others start. lol as a joke, it feels like ** gonna fall over all the time

My wife doesn't get the 'freeze your bits off' clothing tastes that are all so popular (and have been for years). She did admit to going out in strappy tops and no coat back when she was 17 or 18 but getting into rock music meant there was always plenty of clothes on the way to & from the clubs...!
Like me, she thinks they are all mad!:suspect:

You know you will never hear the last of that, right?

On a photography forum, a post like this is absolutely useless without a photo

the photos and negatives mysteriously vanished..... as did the girl who took them weird that isnt it
