Interested to know what you think of this, which was posted on another forum

Dogs Stolen

Personally 2 things spring to mind for me, would anyone honestly think about changing clothes before checking on the remaining dogs, I know I wouldn't.
Secondly to give all but one of the remaining dogs away  WHY ???

re changing out of the dress - adrenaline does odd things. maybe they hoped theyd just been let out. without being there at the time nobody can say for sure what the decision process was.

re giving the dogs away - maybe they feared theyd be a further target for thieves.

had to quickly change out of her wedding dress

Meringues are hardly the most practical of attire in which to try to catch dogs.

Looking at the state of the place it's probably been done by some animal liberationists (sp?) - scruffy outdoor kennels for pregnant mini-dogs?

Obviously no dog/animal lovers on here then :(

Adreline in my case would want to check the animals first, if they were let out see if they were about
So fear for own safety goes above much loved pets, they kept one after all,
logical thing would be to move the remaining 3 into the house for more security

especially a several thousand pound one (possibly, most cost a lot i guess)

Hmm no argument in my case talking as someone who dropped a friend off from work one day in the middle of an emergency and ended helping a trapped calf whilst wearing stilletto heeled expensive shoes and then taking the herd of stressed dairy cattle bck to the field whilst the farmer attended the calf, never gave a thought to what state the shoes were in

Surely they could gave had the sky dish put on the end wall??

Hadn't rrealised they had climbed on the sattelite dish to break in, not near the gate thogh was it, seemes a waste of time

BYBs no doubt, hope the dogs have gone to better homes

Much loved pets or brood animals? As Paul's already pointed out, the kennels hardly look luxurious.

Yes Nod My thoughts exactly they have lost their income :(

Don't remember saying that, and when does not being an animal lover make you a bad person
I don't like cats, but would never want to see one treated badly

IMO the dogs are probably being treated better now they arent shut up in a puppy farm.. look at those runs

Runs? Cages...

well yes - sheds is the right word.

Whilst I sort of agree with Ingrid, has to be said, ever tried running in a wedding dress? Can't get my brides to do it for love nor money :naughty:

Many breeders use such kennels and runs and stay within the laws of both animal welfare and do actually love their 'brood' animals dearly, many bring mothers about to drop into the house so they aren't out in runs. The part I find disturbing is that she is listed as a greyhound trainer, as well as breeding several varieties of dogs...combined with the apparent look of those kennels, it verges on puppy farming..... however I say that with caution, as this report is in the Daily Fail and they will have sensationalised as much as they could....so for example, 'given two dogs away' could, in reality, be that she has asked friends to look after them so they are safe in case the thieves come back - you will notice there is no direct quote from her on this.

So, on the surface, yes I find it all very distasteful, but I would want more then a DM report before I made up my mind completely. ;)

Never watched runaway bride then Yvonne :p

Do understand what you are saying, but for me I may not run but my first thought would be the dogs, not what I was wearing, even if it meant walking into the garden.
Herding cows in stilettos isn't that easy either up farm tracks

Found another report in the express, where apparently her dress was ruined rounding up the dogs
HERE
and in which she states they probably couldn't carry the dogs so what breed were they, the greyhounds ?
Also seems 2 of the dogs weren't hers so is this a boarding kennel too

'It should be noted that two of the female schnauzers are pregnant. The owners of these dogs have been left devastated and we want to do all we can to reunite them with their pets.

So many questions we will never know the answers too
