A Picture a day (My 365) . . . Made it to the End!

18th September: . . . and then finally my search for liquid enlightenment on the way home from work, was over!

ok it's another filler shot!

Thanks JD, it was a number of adjustments, duplicate layer with blending mode set to overlay and adjustment layer 'invert' to get the negative.

19th September: Water Dragon

All sorts of issues shooting this chap in the Encounter Village at Marwell Zoo, low light, glass reflections, but happy enough with this shot handheld at at the long end of my zoom (400mm), ISO2500, Av5.6

20th September: Travel Air D-4000

Late decision for a quick trip to Popham airfield (with the family). For me this was the most gorgeous plane of the day, looked fantastic in flight and static, so I was well pleased I bagged a number of great shots of it landing (getting a bit better at in flight shots now).

Also bumped into Dave (DaveKiddle) and Kieth (Crusher) from TP ;)

BTW, looks ok at this naf res, need to look at it a bit bigger here

Thanks Lisa, was pleased with this capture, image is cropped about half original size too.

21st September: Cultivation Time!

Having grown up on a farm, I absolutely love all things farm machinery related. As I approached home I noticed a couple of John Deere's drilling and rolling, so I ran back down the road with my camera (like a big kid).

I know from experience that it's a fullfilling job to do, if a bit lonely sometimes.

I agree with Merv, he does look alone in his own world.

it is indeed, but if it paid like my current job I would work on a farm anyday.

Love that shot.

Im so excited about this plough match on sat

Thanks Lisa, remember attending many of those, mostly back in my young farmers days ;)

22nd September: Welcome to Portsmouth . . . . The other side of town

This is the rather rundown dog track in Portsmouth, went for a rusty copper type processing effect, as it suits the subject matter.

Thanks mate, really like this processed look. I was on my way to shoot two massive US Army LARC amphibious landing craft in the Portsmouth scrap yard, but guy at the gate gave me the usual health and safety yarn :(

17th September: Down the castle steps.

Not as much of a filler shot tonight, I had planned this one. Taken right at the top of Porchester Castle.

Love the angle on this shot Julian - works really well

Superb detail and processing on this one :)

Again, well chosen processing for this shot :)

23rd September: Infrared Arachnid

Little time for a shot tonight, so this grab shot of a garden spider will have to do

Thanks Jonny ;)

It was a nothing shot really, was far to dark for closeup macro work, plus the wind was moving the web around, so decided the processing would save the day ;)
