A Picture a day (My 365) . . . Made it to the End!

The last shot is great, the use of red background works well for me.

30th Apr: Wisteria
Another light box floral shot (inspiration is lacking a bit at the moment). The Wisteria has started to blossom in the garden and looks stunning, even more amazing close up.

I kind of want your camera....just a bit....

Hehe Thanks JD ;)

What really amazed me about this shot is it still looked stunning when viewed at 200% in PS. But it's not helping my inspiration for photos this week :bang:

Top photo, the black and the purple really fit well together. I also like the fact that there are out of focus flowers behind the main one.

Thanks Nicnok. As usual for me, this was the last shot I took, most shots I filled the frame more and resulted in too much going on. Also found that out of focus flowers behind helps focus the eye on the main subject. I expect there are many more (better) techniques for shooting flowers and half the fun is discovering what works :)

Much like me as well then!! I could take 50 shots of a landscape and it is always the last shot I use.

Yeah, why is that

Maybe it would be a whole lot easier just to take one shot :p

I was thinking about trying that for a week or so - not a photo a day but ONE photo a day (well perhaps 3 or something slightly less radical) not 50 a day or whatever I manage at the moment when all I have is one subject.

Hmmm sounds like what I try when I go out for 'A' beer

Taking one picture a day!?!?!?! that would be torture to try and do :runaway:

Doesn't bear thinking about!! :)

I love the dandelion picture - the background colour was a great choice and the detail is super :)

1st May: Bluebell Overload
3 shot AEB, HDR processed in Photomatix, then curves, cropped in PS.

Continuing my unintentional floral theme of late, was on my way to shoot something else when I drove past a wood carpeted in bluebells, seeing as they will not be around after this month I felt I couldn't pass up another chance to photograph them. So really must start to look for non flora based subject matter this weekend.

2nd May: Canal Ladder
3 shot AEB, HDR processed in Photomatix, then final curves and size reduction in PS.

Not for the first time when taking a photo, I had a lady come up to me stating she was a photographer and could not see anything interesting so what was I taking a picture of?

Thanks JD, think the subject matter should take a fair bit of praise too, stunning sculpture in my book :)

4th May: Dark Church
3 shot AEB, HDR processed in Photomatix, then Diffuse Glow filter, mono conversion, curves and size reduction in PS

A dark day in my 365, had a quick half hour drive around for inspiration but nothing, only this very secluded and creepy local church.

Thanks dell, the processing really saved the day for me today. Yeah, could have got a bit more in, but there was a high grass bank, that hid the bottom of the church down in a didtch, so not much more detail to see.

Having a catch-up Julian.

The Sculpture shot is excellent, and very well processed

5th May: The Dish - CAMRa (Chilbolton Advanced Meteorological Radar) the worlds largest fully steerable meteorological radar.

Using polariser, 3 shot AEB, HDR processed in Photomatix, then final curves, dodge & burn and size reduction in PS

Thanks JD, it is nicer to be called by your name, maybe I should add it to my signature :)
