Just found this great bit of software on the net and thought I would share. It creates a photomosaic from hundreds (thousands) of your images. The software down load is free, you just have to credit the creator of the software when posting your work. I've printed out a A4 image and if you stand back its pretty impressive, so I've sent off for some bigger prints. The image above was created from 599 images.

Interesting, having looked at it for a while I can't make up my mind if I like the effect or not. But certainly an interesting technique.

I think the effect is lost on close up inspection, but if you view it from a distance (printed some A4 test images), then its really impressive, especially as the main image is made up of lots of individual images. Give it a try, the software's free to download and very easy to use.
 
I have used it years back, it worked best if you had a lot of images for it to work from if I remember rightly.
Nice to have something for free.
