A Nikon question?

In short canon became known as the 'light side' due to the white lenses - the oposite of the light side of the force is clearly the dark side... simples

Oh goody, that means I'm a wee bit evil :nikon:

Oh... I've always thought Canon was the dark side...

Another tiny detail cleared, thanks.

Because Nikons (or at least some of them) have better low light/high ISO performance than lesser brands!

looks like I'am on the dark side of the force! 'Darth Nikon' me thinks! Thanks guys and 'May the force be with you!'

Historically its because at one time both factories of Canon & Nikon were in the same location close to the Yukkimoto mountain in Japan, millions of years ago a large part of this mountain fell into the sea and left a huge cliff- face behind. As the space at ground level wasn't great one of the factories had to be built right up to this cliff-face, and Nikon chose to site there as it was mostly in the shade from the Sun - hence of the overall site they were on the 'Dark side' and the name kinda stuck
