I just had the facilities manager come and see me this morning to say that the new floor of our building is due to be opened in a couple of days, and they are going to put a huge print along one of the walls that captures our work. Turns out that they are using one of my images from my recent project in Guatemala :)

I am rather chuffed to know that I will be representing our work at the Plan international headquarters! Plus, they are going to send out a news release to all the staff with a link to my work for others to see what I have done.

I know its not the biggest news in the world, but its the little things in life that matter sometimes :D

When the print goes up in a few days, I will take a picture of it. I don't think I will have ever seen my images that big before!

Anywho, I just wanted to post it as I am dead chuffed :D

Well done mate

Gives you a nice warm feeling inside, doesn't it.

Congrats again

Fantastic, top work!

Just how big are we talking here?

got to be a good feeling, well done.

That's really cool. Plan International? I've been sponsoring kids down in Kenya through Plan for years. I'm assuming you work for them directly then? Big props to you.

WOW thats a good pat on the back for you
Well done
Will look forward to seeing pic of enormous pic soon I hope.

Well done, it'll be good to see your own work so big at work.

Brilliant! So that's a resolution of about 2ppi then? ;)

Well deserved

Hey everyone, thanks so much for the kind comments, I really appreciate it :D

Thats really great! Plan tends to be one of the lesser known charities, even though we are in pretty much just over 50 countries and have around 12,000 staff, we tend to work behind the scenes on our projects (unlike your save the children's and oxfam etc), but that is all changing now as we push for more media exposure.

I am employed full time with Plan and work at the head office in Woking. Its really great to meet someone sponsoring the cause, thank you so much for your support

So you finally hit a wall? :bang: Well done James. Just a few more buildings to do now then?

Chuffed for you. Gives you a warm glow I bet!

Ha! Thanks Daryl, there are still a few more walls in the building that need some gigantic photography plastered all over them I am sure

great news :)

psssst... do we get to see your image?

Thanks :)

Indeed, this image was chosen from a set of images that I took on a few projects we work on in Salama in Guatemala. If you want to see the rest, there are on my website here: http://www.lomayani.com/guatemala-2012/

Man, it's great to be able to help out. Plan do amazing work with the communities they deal with. I found them when I specifically went looking for a charity without religious affiliations to support, and have been very happy with my choice. Keep up the great work!

Well done - you must be pretty chuffed. Not sure if I could work with something that big behind me though... I'd constantly think someone's behind me :)

My wife has been a sponsor for over 11 years now. She's on her 2nd child now.

What a result, You must be chuffed!
