Yes
I was given this by my f-in-l and I presume its an enlarger for use in development but I'm not 100% sure. Am I right?

On the side it says '11c/m Resolux F.4 Enlarging Objective Coated Lenses'

Cheers

It looks like an enlarger lens, I have a Ross RossStar 9cm 4.5 lens for my enlarger.....never used it mind but I'm assured its a sweet thing:shrug:
Dunno if they are related but @ 11cm its almost certainly for enlarging MF negs.
Now all you need is the other 99% of the enlarger and you'll have a full 3% of a darkroom...:D

It is an enlarging lens and I have one..I've ordered a 39-42mm adapter to try in on my camera, although the digital guys find it a lot easier because of instant feedback.

i believe that 110mm is around the length used for enlarging 6x9 negatives, 6x6 is 80mm so it seems like it fits the bill

Might make a good macro lens, a lot of people swear by using enlarger lenses for macro, and 110mm is a fairly nice focal length for 'not getting too close'. It'd probably need some degree of extension tube or bellows though.

Thanks guys and girls, thought that was what it was. Fabulously well made bit of kit.

I've been using a rodenstock 90mm on bellows for macro stuff and its a VERY nice combination.

Andy Grant, how can that be a mystery, ITS A LENS, isn't it.:)

Well, yes, of course its a lens young Richard but I wanted to instill a little suspense into the post so that people would read it. Standard newspaper skullduggery you know.

Interesting, I may have to give this a go.
