A minor theft, but annoying!.

I had my trailer parked outside Homebase and never noticed until I got home that some thieving barsteward has taken a liking to my spare wheel.

Not only is is going to cost me for the replacement but it now prevents me taking the trailer out, I have never had a puncture while towing the trailer but you can guarantee "sods law" will be invoked if I risk it.

Suppose I have to be thankful they did not take the whole trailer, pee'd off nonetheless !!.

We are over protective of our trailer, there are locks on all the removable parts, including the actual bar that attaches to the tow bar. We have a padlock that goes through both, so the trailer can't be taken off.

Just a thought, have you tried contacting the store, they WILL have cctv so if it was taken by someone in a car then they could get the plate, I'd contact the police all the same, its probably some little ******** who they need to nick for something else, Almost certain to be someone known to them, especially as its school holidays.

Grab a can of tyre weld and stick it in the boot. That should get you out of trouble until you get a new spare.
You might need to contact the police to get them to get the CCTV off the store. That's if the police can be bothered to do anything other than just give you a crime number

It is a goods trailer but uses the old Mini wheels, TBH although I am annoyed about it I couldn't be bothered to go to the police or ask about CCTV at Homebase, probably be a waste of time anyway, I will put it down to experience.
