I don't suppose anyone has a 37mm push on lens hood knocking around?

I just looked on e-bay and I'm still spluttering at the prices.

Cheers

Wont a screw on one fit. much cheaper.

Clip in?
They tend to cost about a pound.

Not heard of those. Do you have a link to an example?

Just to be clear, it's a hood, not a cap I'm after.

E-bay brings up these.

Oops.
I was reading what I thought you said...

I very much doubt I'll have the size Simon, but i have one or two hoods knocking about.....can you wait a day or two? as trying to find anything in the chaos i have here involves sherlock detective work :D

Think of a cheaper option:

Push on filter/filter ring and then a screw in hood.

That would be great Asha. Thanks very much

Thanks for thinking about it Ken. Much appreciated.

I'm not sure that's possible. It's an old Zeiss Super Ikonta. I have a yellow filter but that doesn't have a thread either.

... or, how about a 35/36mm step ring to 50mm? Use a rubber band around the threads and cheap screw in 50mm hood

Hmm, I'll give it some thought.

Unusually for me, I also have aesthetics in mind.

It's for the camera on the right.

Hmm, what about if you bought a 37mm push on lens cap and cut out the front piece, then buy a generic lens hood of the appropriate site and glue to the remains of the cap?

I saw that earlier. Definitely the cheapest, but still more than I was hoping.

But, in a moment of madness, I've bought it.

 :$

Cheers all.

Sometimes you just have to go for it. It will look 'right' :)

I drew up a 43mm lens hood for my Pen FT to 3D print before I came away on holiday. I can resize it to 37mm if you want and print one out for you when I get home?

Thanks for the offer Steve.

I'm really going to have to get my head round what these printers can do.

It never occured to me.
