Greetings from Manchester on this fine sunny evening ...

As a new member, I wanted to drop everyone a little note to say hello and to introduce myself. I'm Ffion, and as the 'greeting' suggests, I live in Manchester - but as the name suggest ... I am indeed not from Manchester, but am in fact Welsh!

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this great site from a great friend Andy Yu, whom I've enjoyed many fun photoshoots with. In fact, I've just recently upgraded my camera to the Canon 5D Mark ii (thanks to Andy) and am having great fun finding my way around it! The downside of course is my sudden compulsion to upgrade all my glass!

I love most things about photography and get great joy from sharing ideas with others and gleaning foto inspiration!

I look forwards to getting to know you...

Ive been out shooting with Andy a few times, we showed him some waterfalls at Rivington, fungi hunting, wheat fields, and few other times, hes a nice guy

Thanks for the warm welcome ... and I recognise the chap in that photo for sure! Yes Andy is a great guy, fun, and very clever with his camera! We almost froze our fingers during a recent sunrise shoot at Mam Tor!

I've uploaded a couple of pics to the Members Gallery, taken on Friday night at Ian's Studio in Stockport - High Speed Photography ... 'Twas fantastic to be a grown up, making such a mess, and being able to walk away without being told off! : )

naah dave i went to tigers clough by myself, met up with john and gary later at birkacre, are you hiding or something ?:)

Ah right I just saw Johns comment on your flickr and realised youd seen them at birk, been out once with John once in 4 months when we did the oil seed rape at hunters hill
