While rumaging through the store cupboard ( our wardrobe!) I came across my Polaroid 600 camera. Got no film, so thought I would have a look for some.

OMFG, £99 for a twin pack on Amazon. I have a feeling getting film for this at a reasonable price will be a major challenge in itself!!!

Anybody know where I might be able to track some down that has stock?

Cheerz:thumbs:

http://www.polapremium.com/shop/

The prices in there are slightly more reasonable, a twin pack is £26 and they occasionally have special offers.

Fuji also make a range of instant film thats compatible that is cheaper still, I got 10 packs for ebay for £56 delivered

Fuji FP 100B and 100C is like, I dunno £15 for 10 sheets, I'm sure it can be bought cheaper than that if you shop around.......:)

Polaroid 600 doesnt take FP100B/FP100C as thats the peel apart film

So why doesn't it... ?

Part of the 600's attraction is that with the right back/adapter, it shoots a full 5x4 instant..:)

This camera takes a cartridge of sorts, this contains the 10 shots and the powerpack as well. Put the film cartridge in, take your shot and the print spits out the front.

There is no way you can change a back on this unit.

I took more than a glance at the 600, I kinda fancied one for a while but got put off by reports of close focussing issues, so I don't really know what it shoots.
Maybe there's a difference between the 600 and the 600SE apart from the 600 having a fixed lens, I dunno.
Camerapedia reports

"600 SE film options This camera uses all Polaroid 3 ¼ × 4 ¼ instant pack films, including: 669 and 690 film (color prints); 664 and 667 film (B&W prints). (Note: Polaroid 665 film has been discontinued.). Even though Polaroid films are no longer available, the Fujifilm instant pack film in sizes 85×108mm can be used, which are available in colour (FP-100C) and black and white (FP-100B, FP-400B, FP-3000B).[2] The numbers in the product names indicate the respective film speeds.
With the appropriate back adapters and backs it can also shoot 4 × 5 Polaroid Instant film as well as 120 format film."

So I dunno...
