My daughter is a carer ,today she had to to the weekly shopping for one of her ladies a 90 year old ,first she popped to her local Waitrose and in uniform was allowed, straight in and she says the staff couldn't have been more helpful getting her everything on the list ,then off to Tesco’s a very large one and got the same treatment there plus a large bunch of flowers from the manager ..

it’s lifted her spirits anyway as last night she broke down while FaceTiming me ..perhaps There is hope for mankind after all

Such actions are always a timely reminder that "good" will always prevail :) And that 'good' begets 'good karma'..

My elder daughter works for a coach operator and does an early morning and evening Schools service.

On Friday - the last day the kids were at school as the last two got off her bus - they said "Thanks Miss - till you started on this bus 2 years ago it was called the Trouble Bus - it's not now. Thank you for all you have done for us - we've never been late for school and you have really looked after us - these are for you" and the handed her a tin of biscuits and a flask of coffee "

As she said to me on Saturday - "with kids like that - there's some hope for this country"

plus a large bunch of flowers

M&S gave Mrs Nod a bunch yesterday. Saves them (M&S) having to pay for them to be taken away as rubbish. We gave them to the elderly neighbour that Mrs Nod was shopping for. Don't get me wrong, it's (apparently!) always nice to get flowers but there was a good reason for the retailer to give them away.

My mother in law went into her local Tesco yesterday, she was asked if there was anything specific she was after, and was escorted to go and get it, she was also given a bunch of flowers.

When I go into supermarkets in uniform I get strange looks ( its florescent orange)

Actually thinking about it, when I go into supermarkets I get strange looks anyway :D

Reminds me of a shoplifter we used to get, we couldn't catch him at it, one day as he came in i said to him i wanted to apologize to him for the poor service he had received as he never found and bought what he wanted. I said to solve this i have instructed my staff to make sure every time he came in someone stayed with him all the time to help him find what he wanted, he never came back. True story and i got manager of the month for it.
