Yes
Does anyone know if they were made or weather they stayed as a prototype? That would be a great christmas present for me :D

You could get an old MF off ebay for £5 and DIY...

Yeah! Lump hammer and a tube of silicon sealant and you're laughing! You could even buy a cheap cabinet door handle from B&Q for the handle!

:) Looks good to me Matt. I am taking apart my kit lens as soon as I can smash that thick old glass at the front. And my d60 is small enough to put in the microwave to melt down for a coaster! Poundland, eat your heart out! ;)

If you look at the handle, spoon and "liquid" you can see it's a Photoshop..

I wonder what it would cost to produce though......

Flash you just burst my bubble wide open, then shredded the bits that were left :'(

:D That is a shame, because that really would have been cool. One of those mugs on my desk while I sit in the Recaro bucket seat office chait I'm after :D

not much if you already had the lens

Would you pay £30-£40 for a mug? FFS, I'm asking photographers here, of course you would!! :D

Only if it was 4/3 mount :D

I can see Matt emailing admin to see if there could be a TP mass order!

I'd imagine something similar could be mass produced fairly cheaply, obviously without all the detail, as long as you can order, say 10,000 or so ;)

Come on Canon, do a mass buy and reward your loyal subjects :D

Did I mention I'm just about to buy a 100-400mm IS ????? :whistling:

Your avater is perfect :D

Good plan batman.

Surely if you sent in your own lens then they could convert it for you!!
Not so much cost then :)

Oh and recaro bucket seat for the computer, dont think my dad will allow that.

b****r :(

If a zoom lens is used does it mean that you can change the amount you can put in the cup by zooming in or out? :D

OOoops

What use would the focus ring have, a larger area for your lips to smack on?

Umm, I'm prepared to give this a shot but the inside of the lens would need lining, anybody got any ideas?

but then if you left it for a while, zoom creep would probably mean you found half your cuppa now over your desk...

Sorry but I use L lenses exclusively:thumbs:

I wonder if they do a nifty fifty version for espresso

Find a cheap plastic cup the right diameter...superglue it in, but would need somekind of sealant round the rim.....Hmmmmm........

Wouldn't it be easier to create to take apart the lens, remove the rings, and then fix them to a black mug? wrong diameter.....?? Handle???

Surely it could be done......

Although a mug would be hard, a Glass from Glass would be easier. No handle, vertical sides to fit the rings to, lens cap on the bottom....

Or, surely you could get one of those travel mugs....

And this one looks quite "lensey" with the black rim....
and after doing some clever photoshop with lenss pictures create a vinyl wrap-around and affix it.

Not quit as cool, but would work.......

OH how i WANT one of those

Infact i want several the 50mm expresso as mentioned above  for morning tea
then i want the larger 100mm for the coffee and then i want the 100-400mm flask version then i want filters as screw on caps so i could take them out
all red ring versions by the way :D :canon:
