A late starting 365 :-(

Thanks very much everybody - the positioning of the hotel really is a gift for this kind of photo. It is on a really steep hill right above the town so it is just begging for this sort of photo.

75. It is not only me that loves the BBC, "In the night garden" on Cbebies is a great hit with the boys as well. :)

Yeah, I thought it was another part at first glance (not opened the wine yet either)

77. Storm brewing! Sunday was lovely and warm and we paid the price in the evening.

78. Today the boys and Tanja were out all day and so we had two very tired young men this evening. Here is the youngest cuddling up to mummy.

I have had a go at the storm brewing one in Photomatix - slowly I think I am making progress on the HDR front. I also got bored in work and had another go at a tilt shift processing on an old photo that I had lying around on my laptop (I like the portable GIMP on my USB stick )

Great clouds nicnok, glad to hear your getting to grips with Photomatix ;)

Love that T&S effect image, makes me feel like I'm about to fall over the edge

79. A Different Sunset. The farmer cut the field just outside the house and as I was putting the boys to bed I saw these shadows cast across it. Really a smelly photo would be required because the smell of the cut grass in the sun was lovely as well.

Wow what a bedroom view, fantastic rock formation/mountain. What about a closer shot of that for your 365?

82. Just a grab shot of Ticky today, ready for bed.

83. Out building in the river with the boys and one of the things we built was towers of stones. Not sure which of these two I like best.

Photomatix now without the watermark ;)

I was actually talking about photomatix!! ;) I've never taken a stone shot like that in my life, so to me it's fresh and interesting!!

:amstupid: Ah OK

But I am really impressed with Photomatix, almost more with the possibilities of the subtle use of it to bring more out of a photo than with using it to really make an obvious HDR look. Must keep practising - do you know if there are any good sites that give tips on using it?

It's just really trial and error mate. Have a look at PeteMc site, http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/ He's excellent!!

84. I was playing about trying to do an evening / night HDR but the results were less than inspiring. None the less...

85. This morning I was woken up at 6am by my mobile phone complaining about something but as a compensation there was a lovely sunrise so here we are.

Nice sunrise shot :)

Very nice Sunrise! I rarely get to see them. Actually, I can't remember the last time I was up that early.

Thanks guys, I was pretty pleased. Given my mood today and the efforts I put into the PP for the two I am about to put up for the not so great results I am happy with that one.

A terrible day at work today, such a rough atmosphere at the moment, most of the time I can shut it out and see the good stuff but sometimes things just get you down. Today was one of those days :( I am not happy with either of these two but somehow everything I try just makes it worse.

86. A mayfly larvae I think that we found while I was out with the boys. You can see the split on the back where the fly emerged. Shame about the not so great background - I will have to buy some black cloth to improve that one.

87. As I mentioned a pretty rough day at work today and this sky is shot to reflect my mood.

That mayfly larvae is a fantastic find, bet your boys liked that too ;)

Hope you keep it and take another shot too, when you get some black card.
