A hello...

Hi guys,

I thought I would drop by and say hello.

I only discovered this website this morning from speaking to someone on twitter about my new passion for Photography. She mentioned this website and suggested I drop on..so here I am!

I used to be a iPhone 4s and Instagram person, but spent out on a Canon 600D for Christmas, bought a couple of kit lenses and walked off into the countryside for a few snaps. I'm sure they need to improve on all fronts, but I'm trying to learn where I can.

Would be great to chat to you, and to have a quick 'hello' back, if you feel inclined!

Welcome. If you want advice, stick up a photo, but the 600d is a great camera. Make sure you read the manual, there's a good few settings you'll need to know how to use

At the moment, I'm scouring the DigitalRev website and other websites to see which 50mm prime lens to go for. There's seems to be a small number to choose from on a budget.

The 50mm f1.8 often comes up for sale on here. I've got one and for the money it's a good lens. I've also got the 1.4 but that's 3-4 times as much but i really like it.

I'm looking at the Canon 50mm 1.4 which, although being a little more expensive, seems to be a much better lens
