Hi Everyone, my names Rob and I am from
the cambridgeshire area.

I was wondering after the sad demise of Jessops, and due
to the fact I was looking to buy an upgrade SLR body
from them this month what would be the general view
of a good trustable online seller of photography gear?

I have in the past used simplyelectronics as an online seller
but had problems with them when the order didnt arrive so
I am a tad apprehensive.

Depending on the oil and dust issue I was looking to upgrade
to FX and the Nikon D600, or perhaps sticking to DX and a
Nikon D7000. Also I may perhaps upgrade my wide lens to
the Nikon 16-35mm f4. Any advise on good online sellers and
the debate of FX or Dx and perhaps opinions on the Nikon
16-35mm F4 lens gratefully recieved.

Cheers - Rob

Welcome to the forums Rob.
I've never had any problems with buying online from WEX.

Thanks Ruth, yes I have heard good things about WEX, I think they are
in Norwich. I dont think they are the cheapest though?

Probably not no, but if cheap is what you're going for, then usually, cheap is what you will ultimately wind up with. Just a thought.

yes entirely agree with you and I am very mindful of grey imports etc.

I have found WEX to be similar price to John Lewis whom I would rather use
if I must as they have excellent customer service if I have probs. I just think that Jessops must of lost of lot of buyers like myself whom want value for money but not grey imports and if a problem arises an excellent customer service.

Perhaps it has to be WEX or John lewis's and the like for this reason?
