Needless to say that I don't have a darkroom so my first worry is getting the roll off the spool and into the patterson tank.

How large a changing bag will I need to for this. I will obviously need to get the bag, spool and scissors into the bag along with roll and spiral. i've never done this in a cramped space before.

Does anyone know of a high street shop that would sell cheap measuring cylinders. I don't want to pay more for fancy ones!

Will have more questions soon. I've done work in the darkroom but thats no longer avaliable

Buy the biggest bag you can find. You only need to buy a small measuring cylinder, other sizes (300ml) you can find in your household bottles.

Ideally look for a second hand or eBay Calumet changing tent, cheaper than the Harrison and much easier to use. If its night and dark I load my tank or film holders in the airing cupboard and additionally shut all the landing doors or use the changing tent if day time.

For measuring cylinders use I use cheap plastic/poly measuring jugs ones intended for kitchen use.

I get measuring cylinders and syringes from local chemists. Some have cylinders, but all of them have syringes, normally for oral administration of medicine for infants.

I also buy medicine bottles to keep my dev in so it's easier to measure out.
