It's been a bit quiet round here lately, with all the festivities. What about a thread where we each post a film photo we really like, taken in 2014? Maybe there's one of these elsewhere on TP, but I haven't seen it.

I realise I should have chosen one to act as starter, but I haven't yet, so, whadya think?

Sounds like a plan :)

Great idea Chris

Chris a great idea!

I'll start the ball rolling with this shot of my parents in our garden. I only started home developing this year - and this was from my first roll. FP4 on the Fuji GS645S.

I've got a poppy shot too.....difficult to choose your favourite shot over a year, but I found this shot interesting in thinking how a famous photographer would have taken it and thought it might be something like this:-

think it's a great idea, but sadly, I've not shot a thing on film all year (barely anything on figital even apart from the odd record shot of bike rides with the cameraphone)

Look forward to seeing all your shots though :)

Hard to choose a favourite, I am pleased to have shot quiet a lot of film in 2014, in what has been one of the busiest years of my career. Indeed film cameras, film and the smell of fixer have helped maintain a degree of sanity!!

Summit of Snowdon, Voigtlander Bessa, 15mm Heliar, TMAX 100, LC29- sheer escapism in every sense!

Fantastic picture Jao, shame they aren't looking at the camera but it'd still make a fab print

To be fair, we do eat fairly decent nosh up there: I've made a dutch oven to cook a lasagne before and I already have plans in motion to construct a wood fired pizza oven at one particular site we've visited previously :) Getting the fire started and me preparing dinner is one of the highlights of our trips usually!

But the Mamiya is just a touch too heavy and I'm not yet confident enough with it to drag it up there... maybe one day!

Back on track......it feels like I haven't shot anything, but I have.
Not drowning in an avalanche of scans at year end is odd, like you went out and forgot to take your phone.....or something.
Anyway, I like this one from this year.

I'm with Joxby, I'd LOVE to see that printed! Absolutely superb.

Nice idea for a thread too. I have 5 rolls of Kodak Vision3 to get devved and a couple of rolls of 120 as well, once they're done and I know what's on 'em I'll try find something to post. :)

Some fabulous pics, folks. I particularly liked that first one, of Dave's parents. I don't aspire to anything as good, but it reminded me of this pic of my wife and younger daughter, in Bath earlier this year. EDIT: Might be better without the dark glasses, but wearing them is probably what allowed them to agree to be photographed, my family seldom do. Taken with a Pentax MX on Reala 100 (shot at 80), which I think is my absolute favourite film!

Probably this one for me. Its a simple shot but it came out exactly as I envisaged it without hardly any processing.
