Hi Guys,
Just thought I would attempt the impossible, a shot in almost complete darkness using the HIGH ISO of the D3. By the way, this is merely a technical excercise. C&C not required!
Not sure what to make of the results. All shots handheld, 50mm, f2.8, 1/50s.
100% crops inset.
ISO 6400:
ISO 3200:
ISO 1600:
ISO 8000, 50mm, 1 800s, F4
ISO 10000, 50mm, 1 800s, F4
ISO 25600, 50mm, 1 800s, F4
ISO 25600, 50mm, 1 800s, F4 - WITH PP
And the last shot with a little PP - although its too far gone to be rescued
I think there is a pic here waiting to be taken, tripod in the car though.
/lazy arse faction.
Gary.

I'm surprised that the 3200 shot looks to have much less noise than the 1600. Do you think the 1600 ISO shot is a little under exposed therefore?
