A broken bone should be seen in an A & E situation.
A delay could result in permanent joint damage.
There's a difference between seeking help for a damaged joint and a bad case of the sniffles.

Your good lady caught up with you then??? i would go to A&E.. but you may have a very long wait

How did you manage that?

excessive use of his right hand ,placing unusual strain on the joint ? ;)

either that or he went head first down the inflatable slide this time to save his ankles

I couldn't help but notice this thread was posted just five minutes after the OP requested a link to see the One Show boobles!

Try to choose a quiet period.... I spent 7 hours in A&E on boxing day......and it beggared belief the number of idiots who were waiting to see doctors with colds, sore throats and other trivial injury........NOT A BLOODY WONDER THE NHS IS..................... (insert your word of choice here)

If it's broken, it needs to be seen. If it's not broken, it doesn't.
Doc says no need
So did you see your GP who said it's not broken?

walk in health centre says go in next 3 days...
I suspect this is because a sprained joint can be painful and sore for a few days, and their thinking is that it should have improved by three days.

left handed... oh wait one.. damn!

omens - happened 19/12 and theres bits i can feel moving about in there...

I broke my elbow last March, didn't think I had done any damage and didn't get it x-rayed for 3 days.
Now have a metal bit in there as I shattered the head of the radial bone :(
Please get it looked, I was told that not having these things sorted gives you an increased
likelyhood of arthritis in that joint

When I broke mine (I definitely knew mine was broken - I actually passed out from the pain in the cab on the way there - was loving the road humps), I was told by a doctor who looked at my arm on the street to go the non-emregency A&E as opposed to the full A&E - I think the names are probably not quite right. Basically the one I went too did broken bones etc but not life threatening, and supposedly had shorter waiting times.

They also made me a support for my elbow an 8 year old scout could have done better. We went and bought another one, and then got a proper one when I went back to another hospital a few days later.

Good luck and do the physio afterwards.
