A driving rant !!

I undertook some ****** on the m602 the other week going into manchester, he was sat in the 3rd lane doing bout 60, I was in a rush trying to get my sister to work on time, so I did the clever manouvere of moving over into the 2nd lane and undertaking him at about 75. What I missed was the police cruiser doing about 90 in the second lane, obviously having planned a similar manouvere, so, I cruised into the 2nd lane, watching the mondeo I was undertaking for signs of a manouver. I wasnt watching my rearview though, and as I moved back into the 3rd lane, a flash of lights through the mondeo, and then the mondeo moving over to reveal a lovely vauxhall vectra in full police livery.

Anyway, after following me to regent road, he pulled me over, and I got the worst bollocking I'v ever had in my life. No ticket, no fine, no points, just a sister complaining that she was now gonna be late for work!!

Moral of the story?

Check your mirrors for the High visibilty police cruisers before performing a dodgy manouvere!

Right then,

Drivers of the following cars should turn your pc's off now; BMW, Mercedes, Audi.

For those of you who drive these cars and are still reading !!!

YOUR VEHICLES ARE FITTED WITH INDICATORS.

Its a stalk on the left, move it up before your about to turn right, or down before your about to turn right.

Dont try and wriggle out of it by saying "were not all like that you know" Most of you are !! My dads one of the worst. I reckon over 90% of the drivers of the above mentioned cars do not use their indicators 90% of the time. I dont mind one off's if you forget or whatever, but I see it all to often.....

I agree with what you have said apart from it is Drivers of all German cars. Period.

**EDIT** in actual fact thinking about it they seem to think that none of the road laws apply to them. I would most certainly say that they are the ones most guilty of using their phones while driving.

OK, todays rant !!!!

Dual carriageways !!

Theres a stretch near my house about 3miles long. Goes from the town centre to the outskirts. Towards the end of this carriageway is a large roundabout.

WHY OH WHY do people insist on sitting in the outside lane (from town centre), at 30mph (the actual speed limit) becuase they want to turn right at the roundabout. (3 miles ahead)..

They think they're doing nothing wrong because they're sticking to the speed limit, but all they're doing is holding all other traffic up.

This is 8 out of every 10 cars !!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Often wounder about this one, then realised they'd have to pay attention or they'd miss the junction.

Also why do a lot of drivers park up and either talk or go into shop leaving the headlights on facing on coming traffic? (sorry grammer cops)

Then there are taxi and bus drivers, breed of their own but related to those that drive German cars.

Do you live near a school, come home to find car across your drive no driver in sight but plenty of space either side of your drive.

The list goes on but then you start to need anger management therapy.

Someone did that to nme a while back... I dragged them out of the way using a chain I had in the back of the truck :naughty:

Edit: I should say I wanted to get ON my own drive, and they were parked ON my drive, so i dragged them off the driveway.

1. someone parked across my drive some years ago.(visiting my next door meighbour) i went round and asked him twice to move it. after 20 mins i hooked it to the back of the rangerover with a chain and dragged it outof the way.:D
he wasnt impressed. tough.
2. i AM THAT LORRY DRIVER that sits on single carriageways at 40. after getting nicked at 56 , 5 years ago on the 30 feet wide, arrow straight A16 for doing 56 in a 40 mph HGV limit.IE MARKED NATIONAL SPEED LIMIT, BUT OVER THE HGV LIMIT. cop cars tend to ignore it, but the little toads in speed camera vans dont.
its just outside spalding. they had 42 lorry drivers from GEEST LTD that day.
two days after being convicted i did 40 over the entire length of A17 sleaford to newark.cop car pulled out behind me from the ministry weighbridge at sleaford end.
the queue behind me was impressive.:D

i was realy hoping plod would pull me for driving so slowly. just so i could point out i wasnt doing owt wrong.
i always stick to marked speed limits in the lorry and the car. ( maybe not on the bike over 50. oops.)
now i stick to the hgv limits too. the one finger salute is a regular to me too. never mind.

70 . my 40 mph bit is the a69 , after ive been to bishop auckland i normally go to bellshill , get a big queue along there , but i normally just manage to stay in front of it .

o.k. i am the front of it .
