Yes
No way to quantify this but it's apparent to me (probably a skill issue) that if you want an epic shot, something that's "wow", a show stopper for the wall.....the variables might be something like

Artistic vision
Time available
Patience
Distance to location
Conditions at location
Technical ability (photographic)
Developing ability (digital or darkroom)
Equipment available (photographic and processing)
Financial ability to support enough flexibility for the other variables to come into play as much as possible

I forgot about all that sh"t and it's slowly dawning on me how little time I have and how much I want to make time at the expense of other life considerations.

Life, please get fkd and let me play with my camera.

Apart from that, everything is awesome!

About sums it up.

The same list with a couple of variations could be applied to most hobbies.

I worked out years ago that there isn't time to do everything.

Now I just do what I want, when I want - and enjoy looking at the pretty scenery...

Time is an issue for me but if I have it the next issue is light as so often these days the light is just flat and dead. We seem to get so many days when there's complete cloud cover and poor light here. Maybe it's always been like this and I just don't remember it.

If you you have any woodland settings, it's great to get in amongst the trees when we have that typically crappy overcast sky. Light is diffused beautifully and you can get some awesome stuff.
