Hey guys, long time lurker here, make my posts every now and then but more often than not I keep an eye on what advice others offer those who need it and pick up what I need as I go ....
But now I REALLY need some help.
A very close friend of mine has presented me with an image that means a lot to him and has asked if I am able to do anything with it, I.E.
make it sharper
remove the creases
enlarge it, ideally as big as possible without losing aditional quality....
improve the image overall.
I have no idea with this sort of thing.
He wants to put it in a frame meaning the space below the edge otherwise the feet will get chopped off, I have also attempted to 'add' a little extra to the side to make it more of a standard size for print however my attempts have been futile.
Anyway, The picture is below, if anyone wants the digital file I have please PM me your e-mail but to be honest, its about as big as it gets...

No idea if any of you stunning lot out there are able to do anything with it but I would REALLY appreciate any efforts put in.
.... I also toyed with the idea of trying to complete the other side of the ladys head and body but again, will require someone much more skilled than me.


Hopefully someone can help.

A few good at this the likes of swanseamale47 and such, I am sure they will spot this and help you out...;)
 
Done fairly quicky aas I've just got in and I'm knackered, and I'm out again at 8 in the morning so I'm off for grub now.

If you have a better copy to begin with (higher res download) I could probably run it through Genuine Fractals to enlarge it and maybe do a better job.

hey guys, thanks so much for both your efforts, Both are much better than anything I attempted.
This is a very special friend of mine and am willing to put myself out of pocket slightly if it means getting something spectacular sorted for him. I understand the amount of time to really sort this takes a bit of time....
Wayne, you do appear to be the PS guru around here... Would it be overly rude of me to say I am happy to wait as long as needed for when you have a bit of time???

As Julian say we really could do with a higher res version to start with, I'm happy to give it another go some time next week, and I'm sure others will as well. Can you re-scan?

Thanks for the kinds words people, but my heads starting to swell :)

I dont really have a higher res copy to be honest ... Like I said, I am more than willing to send the file I have but its only a scan of a the photo which in real like is about 2'' by 4''.
 
OMG that is amazing! im gutted ya pen stopped working, would have loved to have seen the finished article. cant believe how real the 'new' face looks :-o
 
tell me about it :) hopefully someone will be able to finish it or something.

Ah, I was meant to post here... I ended up parting with some £££ to have Clark James do this for me, And can honestly say I am over the moon with the results. this was for someone close to me so it was well worth it.
I have no connection to Clark other than the job he has done here for me. The results speak for themselves though.
