A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

3 today. Changed my starter back to one I used to use and it seems more successfull so far. BOXXX BOOXB WORDLEBOT said there were only 43 words after my first line and only one after the second so OOOOO :)

Could have been a 1 but I guessed wrong!!! :P :LOL: Ended up with a 4.

yxxxx moved to xxxxg. xggxg didn't leave me many options so the ggggg was almost inevitable.
 
A Phew here.

xxyxg wasn't too bad a start and developed into xxxgg. FAR too many options and having exhausted the probables without improvement, I was left with just the one option.
 
Strolled to a standard 4 today. XBXXB XXXOO XXOOO left very few possibles and the likiest seemed to be OOOOO.

That‘s curious since if I understand correctly you wrong guess is actually the American spelling and the correct answer is “British”, or as we say English, spelling.

Out of curiosity I read up on it and it can also depend on context, which would explain why I chose the one I did
But there is no consensus on who, what, where, it seems

Probably, and there are at least 2 quite different meanings so …
 
Well my run of 4's continues, so far seven in a row all be it a bit fortuitous today 1Y, 1Y, 3Y, 5G.
 
I had already discovered that the x in Jan's 3rd guess was an x so it had to be what it was!

I ’discovered’ that X on my 2nd line and it’s doppelgänger, the middle letter, on the 3rd line so not much to do to get it righ5 on the 4th.
 
Me too!

xxxyx, yxyxx, ggyxx (but the y HAD to make that ggxxy) and I could only see one option.
 
3 today, no drama just BXXBX correctly guessed where the Bs went with OOXXX then luck guess OOOOO,

The only times my 3rd guess is correct are the times I abandon the 3rd guess and go for the 4th, only to discover that the 3rd was right...:headbang:
 
A nice 3 this morning.

A decent start - xggxx improved to an xgggx. I could see 2 options and giving the lie to my post a few above, I guessed right with the first option!
 
Astounding 3 for me today. XXOXX and I put in what I thought was an unlikely choice and got OOOXO leaving I think only 2 possible and made the right guess so OOOOO.

However it seems 3 is near standard today :)
