A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

A 'Phew' this morning! My first 2 words revealed nothing at all and then 1Y on my third word :(
 
Phew!

Blank, xggxx. xggxx, blank (looking for any other letter!), wrong guess of gggxx followed by the solve.
 
Phew, hard work today. All blank then XXXBX, XBXXX and finally in desperation chose the unlikely word and OOOOO.
 
A today, a poor start of 0, 1Y didn't help much except eliminate 9 letters a 3rd guess of 1G 1Y gave me the starting letter which narrowed it down to three words I could think of and off course it was the last of the three 3G, 3G, 5G.
 
Fail today!
XXXXX BXXBX XOOOO XOOOO XOOOO XOOOO. There were 5 obvious possibilities but I just ran out of lines. Broke my 213 streak :LOL:
 
4 for me.

xxxyx, xxygx, xgggg, which left 5 possibilities and for once, I chose the correct option first time!
 
Another today 1G 1Y, 4G after which there were at least half a dozen obvious answers so just a case of which came first the right answer or running out of guesses 4G, 4G, 4G, 5G.

:( This is why I choose to burn a guess, (knowing that it is incorrect) to eliminate as many of the possibilities in one hit. I still had 2 options left and chose the right one first, but had 2 guesses left.

My commiserations to you all!

Not quite. Sure what you mean but I think that’s effectively what I did today. In “hard” one usually has less choice but when I blamed the first line I used a word with all the 3 missing vowels knowing it would be unlikely to be the winning word.
 
4 for me this morning but very nearly a 3 - choice of 2 and I went the wrong way today!

yxxxx, xxggg, xyggg, solve.
